The 2018 NAWIC Golf Classic successfully raised nearly $7,000 for NAWIC Grand Rapids’ Programs! Our Golfers and volunteers all enjoyed a wonderful time at Scott Lake Golf Course in Comstock Park, Mi. The course is a great mix of long & short holes, simple and difficult, flat and hilly, taking advantage of the natural terrain and beauty of West Michigan. The pleasant summer weather prevailed over the scattered showers that were in the distance. The shotgun start was at 8am and the golfers were off! There were 9 groups of golfers playing in the scramble style outing. We had both Men’s and Women’s Longest Drive Contest holes and Closest To the Pin Contest Holes. Thanks to generous donations from our sponsors, the players and carts were stocked with snacks, drinks, extra balls, extra tees, towels and the list goes on. We had volunteers through out the course to make sure all of our golfer’s were having a great time. After 18 holes of golf, our players were ready for a grilled steak and chicken luncheon. The staff at Scott Lake provided great service throughout the whole outing. Thanks to our wonderful sponsors and players for another successful fundraiser golf outing!
